I guess it's safe to say that Ryan Reynolds' portrayal of Deadpool on the big screen was so spot-on and well-received that Disney was left without a choice but to keep the Canadian actor on board following its grand acquisition of 20th Century Fox in 2019. A third Deadpool film is already in development over at Marvel Studios but the studio doesn't seem to be in any rush to get the ball rolling with the project given their already stacked MCU lineup.

Fans can rest assured knowing that Kevin Feige and his crew will not give us a watered-down version of the character as Deadpool 3 will keep its R-rating. With the film's lack of production update, Reynolds is taking matters into his own hands by giving MCU fans something to talk about. Taking to his Instagram stories, the actor posted a cryptic photo of Deadpool's mask, seemingly hinting that he'll begin working on the film soon. Check it out here:

We still don't know what goes down in the third Deadpool movie but with Marvel Studios reportedly giving the actor free rein in terms of creative control, we can all expect Mr. Pool's grand arrival to the Marvel Cinematic Universe to be nothing short of astounding and chaotic. Reynolds undoubtedly has a huge chip on his shoulder right now but I'm pretty sure he'll do everything in his power to make sure that Deadpool 3 will top its predecessors. I'm just excited to see him interact with different heroes in the MCU. The question is, how will the fourth-wall-breaking outlaw make things work in the franchise? I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Deadpool 3 is currently in the works.
