The Batman director Matt Reeves already made it crystal clear that his version of the caped crusader will be far different from the ones that came before it. Initially intended to be Ben Affleck's solo Batman film, the project was later turned into a reimagining of the arguably DC Comics' flagship superhero, and judging by the official trailer which dropped last year, the film will give comic book fans an entirely new experience.

Some fans are still on the fence about the project but personally, even though I was one of the initial skeptics, I gotta say that I'm digging it so far and the idea of Robert Pattinson playing Batman is already growing on me. The film actually reminds me of The Batman series from the mid-2000s and for some strange reason, I feel like Reeves and his crew also took inspiration from the criminally underrated animated show. I'm really excited to see what he came up with.

The Batman hits cinemas in 2022.
