I think we can all agree that Cyberpunk 2077 was one of the most anticipated video game releases of 2020 but CD Projekt wasn't able to capitalize on all the buzz surrounding the game. Upon its release, the game was plagued with nagging issues that have ruined the experience for a lot of fans which is a true same considering it showed a tremendous amount of promise.

Cyberpunk 2077's failure to live up to the hype may have been the reason why the uber-divisive game's developers decided to do a role reshuffling within the company as Adam Badowski has apparently been booted out of his position as director in the video game. To be clear, Badowski will still be part of CD Projekt but according to Game Industry, he has been assigned to take on other projects which leave Cyberpunk in new hands.

Now, CD Projekt has upgraded former creative director Gabriel Amatangelo's role and appointed him as Badowski's replacement. Amatangelo, who joined the company in January 2020 will now oversee the development of Cyberpunk's upcoming expansions and DLC which are all currently in development. By no means is Amantangelo a "rookie" in the industry as his most notable work includes a DLC for Dragon Age: Inquisition. He also worked on new content for Star Wars: The Old Republic.

The company didn't exactly elaborate on the major change but it's safe to assume that it's one of CD Projekt's attempts at improving the game. Hopefully, the developers will finally get the ball rolling now that Cyberpunk 2077 is pretty much under new management.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available on Xbox Series X & S, PlayStation 4 & 5, and PC.
