Marvel star Anthony Mackie is currently having the run of his career in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and just a few weeks after officially becoming the new Captain America in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier's epic finale, the former Falcon actor won big at the MTV Movie & TV Awards, bagging the coveted Golden Popcorn for "Best Hero".

As all of you may know, Mackie's journey to the top of the MCU wasn't a walk in the park and for years, Sam Wilson has always been presented as a side character in the franchise, something his MCU co-star and Spider-Man actor Tom Holland would always point out and make fun of in their now-famous off-screen "feud".

Mackie recently took to social media and seemingly put an end to their long-running rivalry along with Winter Soldier actor Sebastian Stan but during his acceptance speech at the MTV Movie & TV Awards, the new Captain America may have had a change of heart as he once again called out the Spider-Man: No Way Home actor, indicating that their playful beef has been renewed. He said: "Thank you guys so much. Y'all be safe, enjoy yourself, I'm getting out of here. Tom Holland… I'm on your ass, boy. I'm on your ass." Check out the hilarious clip here:

Mackie totally deserves the honor of being called the "best hero" and looking back, his journey to becoming the Star-Spangled Avenger is pretty astonishing. Now that he's assumed the role of Cap, it'll be interesting how the actor will handle the pressure of taking on the mantle now that Chris Evans is stepping away from the Marvel spotlight. One thing's for sure though, Anthony's time is now.

Anthony Mackie will star in Captain America 4 which is currently in development.
