You can totally feel Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's excitement for his upcoming Black Adam film and quite frankly, he has every reason in the world to be extremely ecstatic about it. The project has been stuck in developmental hell for over a decade with the general belief within the DC Extended Universe fandom that the film has silently been canned. Thankfully, that's not the case and the film has begun filming.
While the chances of us getting an actual teaser trailer in the coming weeks and months are looking pretty slim right now, Johnson still took to social media to give fans a little sneak peek of what to expect from his Black Adam costume. Of course, the former WWE superstar didn't exactly unveil the entire look but in the photo he posted on Instagram to promote his ZOA Energy Drink, The Rock is hyping up the DCEU fandom with his gold Black Adam emblem which can be seen peeking from the robe he's wearing. Check it out here:
The arrival of the Man in Black undeniably changes the entire landscape of the DCEU moving forward and whether you like it or not, major props should be given to Warner Bros. for actually managing to keep The Rock on board to do the project despite several setbacks. I'm really excited to see what Johnson brings to the table aside from his given charisma and star power. Hopefully, Black Adam ends up exceeding expectations and becomes a smash hit but if anything, we all know Johnson plans to make good on his promise so for now, we can rest assured knowing that the project will be worth all the hype and wait.
Black Adam is expected to hit cinemas in July 2022.
