Ben Affleck Seems to Throw Shade at Warner Bros. After Praising Marvel's Kevin Feige

Ben Affleck's journey in the DC Extended Universe was off to a promising start and even though Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice still has a lot of people divided, fans were unanimous with their appreciation for the actor, calling him the definitive version of the caped crusader.

Affleck's second outing as Batman in 2017's Justice League failed to hit the mark, however, which ultimately led to his decision to abandon the role and leave the franchise in early 2019. But if you haven't been keeping up with the news, Affleck has decided to change his mind and continue playing the Dark Knight for the foreseeable future.

That's not to say though that Affleck has always been happy with the DCEU's creative direction and whether he would like to admit it or not, I'm pretty sure he has felt disappointment with the franchise's performance with Marvel being regarded by a lot of fans and critics as the top dog.

Speaking of Marvel, Affleck recently spoke with The Hollywood Reporter and this may come as a huge shocker to a lot of people, but the DC actor praised the Marvel Studios boss, even calling him the greatest and most successful producer in Hollywood.

Affleck said: "F***ing Kevin Feige is absolutely, you have to say, the greatest producer, most successful producer who ever lived. He's the only guy in the world who, if he told me, 'I know what the audience wants! This is what we're doing!' I would believe him 100%." That f***er knows his audience like no producer (ever), he's a genius. Kevin is like a ringmaster at the circus, he knows exactly how much to wink at the audience, exactly when to pull at the heartstrings, exactly when to do the effects, how many jokes, what the sensibility, what the tone is. Because people didn't know to run away from the pajamas or embrace it or make it serious."

I don't know about you but Affleck seems to throw shade at his colleagues over at Warner Bros. who seem to be clueless as to what they want to do with the DCEU. The recent controversies surrounding Ray Fisher and WB executive Walter Hamada also seem to be getting in their way and it's just so unfortunate that they can't seem to co-exist considering DC films have been on a decent roll following JL's epic failure.

Meanwhile, Zack Snyder's Justice League hits HBO Max this March.
