October 28th is forever etched as an important day in Marvel Cinematic Universe history as it was the date when Marvel Studios officially announced the casting of the late Chadwick Boseman as the live-action Black Panther. Boseman was introduced at a Marvel event in 2014 and was welcomed by Marvel Studios' head Kevin Feige, and co-stars Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans. He would make his MCU debut in 2016's Captain America: Civil War and star in the groundbreaking and Oscar-winning Black Panther in 2018.

One of Chadwick's Marvel contemporaries Chris Evans remembered the special day and paid tribute to the actor who died of colon cancer back in August. Retweeting a photo of him, Chadwick, and RDJ, Captain America simply captioned the post with a blue heart emoji and a crown befitting of Boseman's role as King of Wakanda. Check it out here:

Chadwick's time in the Marvel universe may have been short-lived but it can't be denied that he made a lasting impact on the franchise and the huge void he left will be hard to fill. His grand arrival in the MCU instantly solidified him as one of the franchise's most important characters. As of now, Marvel Studios have not addressed the future of the Black Panther film series but I'm pretty certain Kevin Feige and his crew are cooking up a grand tribute for the late actor and I can guarantee you that it will be an emotional one. You are missed every single day, Chadwick.

Black Panther 2 would've started production earlier this year.
