It's long been debated by Marvel fans whether or not the hit ABC series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is canon to the Marvel Cinematic Universe or not but just recently, the show was moved to Disney+'s non-MCU collection which pretty much seals the deal. To be fair, not a lot of people, especially the fans who have only followed Marvel Studios' movies are aware of the series' existence to begin with.

Still, the series gained a cult following within the Marvel fandom through the years and a lot of fans are hopeful that the show's characters, most especially Quake will be integrated into the billion-dollar franchise. Now, a new scoop from Giant Freakin Robot suggests that Marvel Studios may be bringing in the AOS to the MCU after all.

However, current plans call for the studio to reintroduce the characters from the series while starting fresh with the franchise. Yup, a reboot is reportedly on its way but fans need not worry as the report states that Marvel intends to keep the cast and just wants to treat them as "new" characters, obviously ignoring the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. continuity.

Of course, nothing has been officially confirmed yet so like any rumor, take this one with a huge grain of salt. However, it's worth mentioning that Marvel Studios is working on a Secret Invasion series which will be headlined by Nick Fury, and considering his ties to the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division, it wouldn't be surprising if his allies turn up in the franchise.

Speaking of, Secret Invasion is reportedly eyeing a late 2022 or early 2023 release.
