Boruto: Naruto Next Generations May Focus on an Interesting Family Arc

Even as a spinoff anime, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations has been able to stand on its own. That's because it has focused on the titular character and made him the spotlight, now fleshed-out hero of the anime.

Now, it seems that the anime is ready to move forward and look at the lives of the other characters, starting with the family ties of Sarada Uchiha, the would-be teammate of Boruto in the future.

Saiyan Island got wind of a new scan that hints at the shift in focus, which point to the Uchiha family getting more attention in the anime soon. Based on the scan, it's possible that the anime will touch on the events that happened in Naruto Gaiden: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring. This arc will not only explore the relationships of the Uchiha family, but also where Sarada got her red glasses.

This is a nice arc to adapt, because fans will get to see how Sarada deals with Sasuke's absence in her early years. It also gives fans a peek of a sinister plan for the Uchiha family,

As per the report, there are no definitive announcements yet on when this arc could be animated. But speculations point to the academy graduation as a possible takeoff for the side story to flesh out Sarada's character, serving as something of a flashback to Boruto: Naruto Next Generations.
