Blade Runner 2049 Director Reveals If There Will Be Narration in The Film

Many considered Ridley Scott's 1982 Blade Runner to be one of the best science fiction films ever made, but many also criticized its bad narration, as you can watch in the motage below:

So is the sequel, Blade Runner 2049 going to feature narration?

According to Denis Villeneuve, there won't be. Speaking to Collider, the filmmaker revealed that including a narration in the sequel was just a joke he made with Harrison Ford. Here's what he said:

"That's a joke I made with Harrison Ford when he came to do his ADR: I gave him a narration. No, there's no narration. It's not something that would have been welcome and the movie doesn't need one. It was not a part of the project, no, but we were making jokes about that. It would've been a strange thing to see the fans' face if the movie had started with a narration, a voiceover."

Later versions of the film removed the narration since they were so bad, so it's not suprising that they decide not to include it in the sequel.

Blade Runner 2049 also stars Ryan Gosling, Jared Leto, Robin Wright, Dave Bautista, Ana de Armas, Mackenzie Davis, Sylvia Hoeks and Barkhad Abdi. It's set ot release in theaters on October 6.
