Moon Gang Tae lives peacefully with his older brother, who has autism, Moon Sang Tae. After frequently moving from town to town ever since Sang Taewitnessed their mother's murder, Gang Tae was led to work at the OKPsychiatric Hospital in Seongjin City, where they all lived during childhood.

On the other hand, Ko Mun Yeong is a famous children's book writer who deals with an antisocial personality disorder. These three are all linked together in an ill-fated connection through an accident that involves their mothers.

More than the romance, It's Okay To Not Be Okay tackles the process of seeking comfort from one another, healing each other's emotional wounds, and happily moving forward with their lives.

Then, they went on a road trip, making Gang Tae strip off the responsibilities weighing his shoulders. Onward the joyful road trip, Sang Tae decided to go separate ways with his brother. During the emotional conversation between the brothers, Mun Yeong attempts to convince Sang Tae to stay, expressing her proposal to have him illustrate more of her stories.

Will It's Okay To Not Be Okay have season 2?

So far, neither tvN nor Netflix has confirmed the news that It's Okay To Not BeOkay will return for a second season. But, as the last episode left viewers with an open-ending, hopes for a season 2 started to be the talk of the town.

One scene that led fans that the irresistible trio will reunite together for a season 2 was Mun Yeong's proposal to have Sang Taeillustrate her future stories. It was shocking when Mun Yeong decided to retire from writing, but her statement with Sang Taeclearly hinted that she was open to the idea of writing another book.

The supporting characters' side stories can also be a probable plot for season 2. Specifically, viewers might be treated with a deeper love story between Nam Ju Ri and Lee Sang In as they both hinted romantic interests in each other.
