Zack Snyder Shares New Image of Darkseid from His Justice League

Darkseid was supposed to make his debut in Justice League, but after some studio meddling he ended up getting cut from the film. With HBO Max set to officially release Zack Snyder's Justice League, Snyder himself has shared a new image of Uxas a.k.a. Darkseid.

Check it out:

This was actually an image that Snyder has shared in Vero back when he was still campaigning for the Snyder Cut to be released. The new thing about the photo is that it actually has color now.

We don't know what scene this is from, but I guess it's safe to assume that it's from the same war scene that involved the humans, Atlanteans, and Amazons. While the film had shown Steppenwolf to be the main antagonist, it would have made sense for Darkseid to be part of that scuffle as well.

For now, it looks like the Zack Snyder's original DCEU plans have been dashed, and the release of his cut of Justice League is just WB throwing a bone to the fans. While I'm not really expecting WB to suddenly jump back onboard with what Snyder was originally planning, it would be interesting if things got back on track if Zack Snyder's Justice League does well on HBO Max.

If you ask me, I think it's kind of annoying that Snyder would introduce Darkseid so early, what with him being the DCEU's Thanos. In my opinion, they could have just taken the story of The Flashpoint Paradox and turned that into the big Justice League event movie.

For now, Zack Snyder's Justice League is expected to hit HBO Max sometime in 2021.
