X-Men and Lord of the Rings Actor Ian McKellen is 'Euphoric' After Receiving COVID-19 Vaccine

After several months in lockdown and a lot of anxiety and isolation, a COVID-19 vaccine has been finally produced, and it's set to steadily roll out to people who need it most to the rest of the world. While people like Gina Carano may be busy mocking masks and vaccines, Gandalf himself Ian McKellen is ‘euphoric' over having received the vaccine.

Here's McKellen's post about it:

And you can watch him get the vaccine here.

I guess it's also worth noting that this clip of Magneto getting injected with the Mutant cure is making the rounds online:

At 81-years-old, McKellen is considered to be high-risk when it comes to COVID-19, so it's essential that he would be one of the first people to receive it. McKellen says, "I would encourage everybody to do the sensible thing, not just for themselves but for everybody else because if you're virus-free that helps everybody else, doesn't it?"

For now, a lot of conspiracy theorists have been going around mocking the importance of masks and questioning just really what is in the vaccine. While I think it's necessary to have some critical thinking, the evidence of the virus is just so overwhelming that it would be highly ignorant to think otherwise. Besides, wearing a mask is only a minimal thing to do to protect yourself, and most importantly, others; and the sooner we all get vaccinated, the sooner things can get back to normal.

Kudos to Gandalf for showing everyone how it's done, and hopefully the rest of the world will follow suit.
