Watchmen Poster Actually Revealed the Ending This Whole Time

[SPOILERS FOR THE FINALE OF HBO'S WATCHMEN]

The Leftovers' showrunner Damon Lindelof had delivered one hell of a season with HBO's Watchmen, and the finale had left fans wondering if Angela Abar did indeed inherit the powers of Dr. Manhattan. What's interesting is, that the teaser had actually been staring at us in the face for a while when it came to the official poster.

Just look at it:

While it does feature the "Watchmen yellow", you'll also notice that Angela is covered in a shade of blue. While we thought it was just dramatic lighting to make the poster look more aesthetically pleasing, we had no idea that it was showing us that Angela was blue, as in, she becomes the new Dr. Manhattan.

If you ask me, I think the show should just end with that teaser because I don't know how they can move forward with the same feel as this first season. All the stones have been unturned and I can't imagine anything else that could be brought it that would have the same kind of mystique.

If you ask me, the only character that I want to meet now is Dan Dreiberg a.k.a. Nite Owl. He had been incarcerated since the 90s, and it would be interesting to see what's happened to him over the years. Then again, it would ultimately just be for the fanservice, and I can't imagine a relevant story coming out that would include him.

Then again, I'm not the TV writer here. If HBO wants to push forward with Season 2, then it's Lindelof's problem to deal with. Let's just hope he comes up with something as phenomenal as the first season.
