Watch Black Noir in Action in First Few Minutes of The Boys Season 2

The comic book movie genre is at an all-time high right now, and Amazon's The Boys aims to give us a look at the darker side of superheroes. Everyone is waiting for the premiere of the second season this September, and we have a new clip giving us a look at Black Noir as well as Giancarlo Esposito's Stan Edgar.

Check it out:

With Stillwell gone, it looks like Edgar is the one who the Seven will be directly responding to this time around. We also get to see that the season is going to build on the supervillain problem, and Compound V is going to be in the center of it.

As for Black Noir, he's the hero that actually got the least attention in the first season, but with more of the Seven dead, and the power balance getting disrupted, it looks like he's going to be playing a more major role moving forward.

The Boys is the perfect piece of satire in this pop-culture climate of superheroes, and Amazon has really gotten a new hit with this show. Hopefully, it goes on for a while, but not too long that it fizzles out. Fingers crossed Seth Rogen and his team have the next few seasons properly planned out.

The Boys is an irreverent take on what happens when superheroes, who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians and as revered as Gods, abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. It's the powerless against the super powerful as The Boys embark on a heroic quest to expose the truth about "The Seven", and their formidable Vought backing.

The Boys Season 2 comes to Amazon Prime Video on Sept. 4.
