Was Jar Jar Binks Connected to Maul's Crimson Dawn?

Solo: A Star Wars Story had introduced a new villain faction in the form of Maul's crime syndicate Crimson Dawn, and they can be identified by their sun-shaped crest. What's interesting is, that crest can be spotted on Jar Jar Binks in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones.

Of course, it's probably just a coincidence, but after all the Darth Jar Jar memes that have come out, I like the idea that he's unwittingly connected to one of the biggest crime syndicates during the earlier days of the Empire; not so impossible for a Gungan who was responsible for granting emergency powers to Palpatine, giving way for his rise as Emperor.

If anything, Jar Jar has a terribly tragic story in Star Wars canon. In the book Star Wars: Aftermath, it's revealed that an old Jar Jar has become a street clown on Naboo who has been shunned by society, even the Gungans. The book even goes meta when it comes to Jar Jar's predicament, saying that the kids laughed and loved his goofiness, but the adults didn't like him or talk to him.

Either way, his fate is yet to be sealed, and I'm hopeful that Jar Jar finds some kind of redemption in the Star Wars canon. I would pretty much love to see him in the Kenobi series, but maybe there's room for him to appear in The Mandalorian Season 3 (Season 2 is already filled to the brim with cameos from Ahsoka to Captain Rex).

In the meantime, you can catch Jar Jar actor Ahmed Best as he hosts his own show, Star Wars: Jedi Temple Challenge on Youtube.
