Though Disney+ had not given us a release date, all of the clues suggested that WandaVision would be coming out before the end of the year. Now Marvel Studios has given us the date of the premiere, but it looks like the show is going to come out on 2021.

According to the official announcement, WandaVision is now set to come out on January 15, 2021:

We don't know the reason as to why WandaVision has been set back, but it's possible that Disney doesn't want the show to overshadow the weekly releases of The Mandalorian. With the lack of new content incoming on Disney+, they would want to try their best and ration the material they can publish.

This will surely come as a bummer to a lot of fans who were hoping for a glimpse of the show sooner, but at least we know that the series comes out very early into the next year. Hopefully WandaVision will keep everyone excited about the MCU until the release of Black Widow in May. Fingers crossed that theaters will finally be able to open by that time.

2020 has been very rough to the entertainment industry, and MCU fans are going through an entire year without a Marvel release. Should the pandemic have not happened, we would have already gotten Black Widow, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, and Eternals; now we'll have to wait until January before we can find out how the MCU has been fairing since Spider-Man: Far from Home.

Catch WandaVision when it comes out on Disney+ on Jan. 15, 2021.
