The Incredibles II Deleted Scene has Edna at a Fashion Show

Disney Pixar's The Incredibles II came out as one of the biggest animated movies of the year, and the film had just been released to home video. We've gotten a lot of special looks at the movie, and one of them is a deleted scene that has Edna Mode managing a fashion show.

Check it out:

This was probably the first concept of the scene where Mr. Incredible asks Edna to take care of Jack-Jack. Though I admittedly love seeing Edna working somewhere other than her home, I think it would have been a plot hole to have Jack-Jack appear in the fashion show, and later having his photo taken with Mr. Incredible holding him. I think a lot of people would say that Bob's secret identity would have been given away.

With the scene that we got, I think the film wanted to bank in on the audience's familiarity with Edna, and had us seeing her in her home once again. Besides, having the scene take place there instead of a busy stage makes the exchange more intimate between Bob and Edna.

That's just my opinion anyway.

Everyone's favorite family of superheroes is back in "Incredibles 2" – but this time Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is in the spotlight, leaving Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell) and Dash (voice of Huck Milner) to navigate the day-to-day heroics of "normal" life. It's a tough transistion for everyone, made tougher by the fact that the family is still unaware of baby Jack-Jack's emerging superpowers. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) must find a way to work together again—which is easier said than done, even when they're all Incredible.

The Incredibles II is now available on Blu-Ray and digital.
