Warner Bros Isn't Considering Recasting Ezra Miller in The Flash for Now

A video had come out last week of Flash star Ezra Miller seemingly choking a fan, and the internet was quick to jump on ‘cancelling' his career. With some expecting WB to fire him from the part of Barry Allen, that doesn't seem to be the case.

We've been getting some new updates on the Flash movie lately, but everyone is asking about Miller's status. According to The GWW's KC Walsh, WB isn't really considering firing Miller over the video. Here's the post:

If anything, the whole debacle still has some angles that we're not seeing. While it was said to be confirmed that it was indeed Miller in the video, there were no criminal charges filed against him. What's more, there's still a severe lack of context as to what went down. We don't know why Miller was agitated, but I'm sure him choking someone out like that doesn't just come out of the blue. There are still some who also watched the video and think it was some kind of joke gone wrong.

Personally, I don't want to see Miller recast. He has worked very hard to keep the role of Barry Allen, and despite all of the delays that the film has undergone in Development Hell, he persisted, even going so far as to attempt to write the script with Geoff Johns. I don't think he deserves to be ‘cancelled' over a video which we don't even fully understand. We don't want another Johnny Depp/Amber Heard situation, do we?

For now, The Flash is still set to come out on July 1, 2022.
