The Batman Said to be Based On Year One Comic; Harvey Dent to Appear?

We've barely been getting some official updates on Matt Reeves The Batman, but now rumor has it that the movie will actually be based on Batman: Year One. What's more, it's possible that the movie will feature more than one classic villain.

According to Revenge of the Fans, Reeves is looking for a 25–30-year-old actor to play a younger Bruce Wayne. Just in case you didn't know, Year One's story line involves following Bruce's first year as the Caped Crusader, which would make sense that the production is looking to cast someone who looks younger than Ben Affleck.

On another note, Reeves was said to have met up with Boardwalk Empire star Jack Huston to play Batman, but he was said to have passed on the role. It's been speculated that Huston is in line to play classic Batman villain Harvey Dent a.k.a. Two-Face. If you've seen Boardwalk, you'll know that Huston has played someone with half a face before; fantastically as well, if I may add.

For now, we should all take these as rumors. There were a lot of reveals for the DCEU at SDCC 2018, but no official updates on The Batman. I guess Reeves is just really taking his time to get this movie done right.

No release date has been set for The Batman.
