The Batman: Christian Bale's Advice to Robert Pattinson is the Same He Gave to Ben Affleck

Before "Batfleck," the role of Batman belonged to Christian Bale, and now he's been asked for his take on Robert Pattinson being cast as the next Caped Crusader. As it turns out, he thinks Pattinson is a great choice for the role, and his advice to him is pretty much what he said to Affleck when he got cast.

Talking to Variety, Bale said that he thought Pattinson's casting was a "good choice." When asked about what advice he has for the next Bruce Wayne, Bale said, "Same as for Ben [Affleck], just be able to [have a batsuit made where you can] pee by yourself. You don't feel much like a superhero if you can't take a piss by yourself."

Just in case you didn't know, here's Affleck telling the story of when he ran into Christian Bale, and he was given the batsuit advice:

For now, it seems like not being able to use the bathroom has been a staple when it comes to superhero outfits. Shazam! even poked fun at it when Billy said "I don't even know how to pee in this thing!" when he was transformed. Tom Holland also has the same trouble with his Spider-Man outfit, and he can't even drink out of the suit without a straw coming out of the suit's eyeholes.

And I'm just sitting here thinking if they can CGI someone's upper lip for an entire film, why can't they do the same thing to zippers in the costumes? It shouldn't be hard enough to put that clause in the contract.

Matt Reeves' The Batman starring Robert Pattinson is slated for a release on June 25, 2021.
