The Adult Losers Club Stands Together in New Photo from IT: Chapter 2

As promised, we now have the first trailer for IT: Chapter 2, and it will focus on the adult Losers Club twenty-seven years after the events of the first movie. The film as assembled an impressive cast, and we have a photo of all of them together like something out of Avengers: Infinity War.

Check it out:

Noticeably missing is an adult Stan who is played by Andy Bean in the film. If you've read the book or watched the original series, Stan actually commits suicide, so he isn't in much of the film. Then again, with the first movie taking some liberties, maybe they decided to make Stan live as a way to subvert expectations and they just cut him out of the trailers.

I'd say it's still relevant to have a character die though, so we can really get the sense of danger and trauma that Pennywise represents.

Besides that, the film has gathered a fantastic cast of actors. Sure the biggest names are James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain, and Bill Hader, but all the other adult characters actually look like their child counterparts. Hopefully, they manage to capture the same chemistry that made the cast of the first film so loveable.

The film is Muschietti's follow-up to 2017's critically acclaimed and massive worldwide box office hit "IT," which grossed over $700 million globally. Both redefining and transcending the genre, "IT" became part of the cultural zeitgeist as well as the highest-grossing horror film of all time. Because every 27 years evil revisits the town of Derry, Maine, "It Chapter Two" brings the characters—who've long since gone their separate ways—back together as adults, nearly three decades after the events of the first film.

IT: Chapter 2 comes out Sept. 6.
