Star Wars: Mark Hamill Responds to Old Photo of Him Being Compared to Snoke

Mark Hamill is a Twitter superstar, and he's proven himself to be very fun when it comes to interacting with fans online. A new photo has come up of a young Hamill in golden garb, and it's being compared to Supreme Leader Snoke from The Last Jedi with the caption asking, "Who wore it better?" Hamill has a response:

Though Luke Skywalker may have died in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, he is expected to make a return in Episode IX. While I'm fully expecting him to continue mentoring Rey from the beyond, I would rather see a different take on the concept of a Force ghost. What if he ends up haunting Kylo Ren instead? I mean, Luke did do the same thing in Legends when he would communicate with his descendant Cade Skywalker. What if he brings along ghost-Anakin Skywalker to teach some sense into his grandson?

While Hamill has made a career off of voice acting work, I absolutely loved seeing him come back onscreen. He brought such great emotion with the character of old Luke Skywalker, and I even enjoy his more ‘silly' side when he's tickling Rey's fingers with the blade of grass. Say what you want, but Star Wars will always have time for humor. I mean, Yoda was way worse when Luke first met him in Empire Strikes Back.

For now, everyone is waiting for a big reveal this coming Star Wars Celebration. Hopefully, Lucasfilm doesn't leave us hanging.

Catch Star Wars Episode IX in theaters Dec. 20.
