Star Wars: Kellog’s Makes Mark Hamill His Own Cereal... Sort Of

With every Star Wars movie comes multiple product tie-ins, and Kellog's has always been the company to promote the galaxy far far away. Mark Hamill put out this tiny rant on Twitter about him never being on the cover of a cereal box—to which Kellog's happily obliged him.

This was Hamill's original rant:

And here was Kellog's answer:

When it comes to product tie-ins, I kind of noticed that Kellog's would usually choose characters that stand out on the boxes, not anyone that comes off as a human. For years we've been getting images of Darth Vader, Yoda, BB-8, C-3PO, and R2-D2—but not too much of Rey, Han Solo, Princess Leia, or Luke Skywalker.

Though I think fans would love to have a Luke cereal box, I don't think kids would be too keen on getting cereal with old grumpy Luke on it.

Maybe if they used that photo of him drinking that green milk?

Though Luke Skywalker may have disappeared into thin air in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Hamill has been confirmed to have an appearance in Episode IX. We don't really know to what extent he's going to be in the film, but my guess is he's going to either guide Rey into the rest of her journey or be some kind of bothersome Force ghost trying to sway Supreme Leader Ren into the light. Either way works for me.

Catch Star Wars Episode IX in theaters Dec. 20, 2019.
