Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Changes Lightsaber Design After Fan Feedback

With the release of Star Wars Battlefront II being one of the worst in gaming history, EA is making sure they don't make any similar mistakes when it comes to the release of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The devs have their ears really close to the ground now, and news has it they're going to be making a tweak to the lightsaber in-game after fan feedback.

Talking to Game Informer, Fallen Order director Stig Asmussen explained:

"We made a mistake on that one and since then we've fixed it… That was very fair feedback, very fair criticism, and we've tweaked that. We've also tweaked the shape of the lightsaber blade a little bit as well, too. You can see the difference right away."

It's great that some fans were able to spot the problem, because looking at the footage myself, I couldn't tell exactly what was off. I guess me, personally, I don't really like how Cal Kestis looks when he runs, but I guess there's a lot of time to polish that before the game comes out in November.

With the release of Fallen Order, a lot of people are hoping we are entering a new era of Star Wars games. After years of just Battlefront titles, we are now getting an action platformer, and later this year a revamped LEGO Star Wars game.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC on Nov. 15.
