Star Wars Episode IX: Production Shirt Teasing Red Stormtroopers?

There has been a rumor going around that Star Wars Episode IX will introduce us to a new legion of red First Order stormtroopers, but so far, Disney hasn't given us any looks at the movie at all. What's interesting is, a look at some production crew gear has made it online, and it's possibly teasing the so-called Red Legion.

Check it out:

Since it's said that this is ‘based on the crew gear', there's a possibility that this isn't a legit teaser at all. Then again, the odds of an upcoming Star Wars movie introducing a new kind of stormtrooper is always at a hundred percent.

If the image is kind of confusing, it's likely the pattern that we're going to see on the helmet; it's the signature "frown" that stormtroopers have on their buckets. A lot of the elements are still there, but I think the most prevalent difference is the straight line down the middle. That's a design element ripped right off of a clone trooper helmet.

For now, everyone is expecting a big reveal to come to Star Wars Celebration this April. While there have been hopes for something to come out a bit earlier, I think Disney is going to use that time and promote the release of Avengers: Endgame. Hopefully by the time the teaser is released, a lot of fans will feel that it will be worth the wait.

Catch Star Wars Episode IX in theaters Dec. 20.
