Last year it was announced that LEGO Star Wars was going to get a full reboot, and this next game would encompass all of the Skywalker Saga. The Rise of Skywalker had just gone with not release date announced, but a possible leak may have confirmed that the game could release this month.
A local shop had added the date of release — Feb. 26, 2020—on their listing, and it’s made its way to Reddit. Check it out:
With the 26th taking place next week, I have a feeling that this is a wrong release date. LEGO Star Wars is probably one of the most anticipated things in the fandom, and for now, nothing is being released to build up the hype. You’d think that we’d get a new teaser or a poster a month before it comes out.
Then again, some think that now would be an opportune time to come out with the game. It’s been a while since the announcement, and it could possibly help build the hype for the home release of The Rise of Skywalker in March. Then again, maybe the game won’t release, so all the focus can be on TROS once again.
For now, all fans can really do is wait. We’re promised a whole new experience when it comes to this rebooted LEGO Star Wars, and hopefully, it introduces a fun new branch of the fandom for a new generation of gamers.
No official release date has been set for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
