Nebula has Hair in Unused Avengers: Endgame Concept Art

Nebula was already cybernetic when we met her in the first Guardians of the Galaxy film, but did you know that Avengers: Endgame almost gave us pre-cyborg Nebula?

We don't know when this would have been part of the film, but I guess it would have been a flashback involving her early days with Gamora as daughters of Thanos.

I actually really love the look, and it would really drive the point home when it comes to how much Thanos had altered Nebula from her original state. It would also be a neat homage to the comics, seeing as Nebula had hair in her original incarnation.

I don't know what James Gunn has planned for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, but I would have loved to see Nebula with hair finally. I think it would make a great look for the character, and it would help disconnect her with the imagery of Nebula as a villain in the earlier films.

Then again, the comics are already embracing her bald look, so I wouldn't be too surprised if they just decided to keep this look for the character. I'm just saying, a full head of hair could look cool on one of our best girls.

For now, Gunn is busy working on The Suicide Squad, but he's set to immediately start production on GOTG Vol. 3 when the DC film wraps. We don't have a release date yet, but it's likely we could get something in MCU Phase 5 which takes place 2022 onwards.
