Is WWE Star Sasha Banks Playing a Nightsister in The Mandalorian?

While the trailer for The Mandalorian Season 2 had shown us the return of Din Djarin and Baby Yoda, we also get to see some new faces. One of them was a character being played by WWE star Sasha Banks, and while we don't have any idea who she is, the internet is on fire speculating on who she is.

With the long cloak and hood, some are expecting her to be a Jedi. Listening to the voice-over (who is probably from the Mandalorian armorer), we hear, "The songs of eons past tell of battles between Mandalore the Great and order of sorcerers called Jedi," and when the word Jedi comes, we have a shot of Banks.

Personally, I'm focusing on the word ‘sorcerer' and guessing that Banks is playing a Nightsister. In The Clone Wars, the Nightsisters of Dathomir were users of Shadow Magic, a technique connected to the Dark Side of the Force, and since Baby Yoda is a proficient Force user, it's possible that they would want something to do with him.

Besides The Clone Wars, there is a prominent Nightsister character in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order named Merrin:

If anything, some are also guessing that she could be Sabine Wren in disguise. With Banks' wrestling persona always donning colored hair, it's pretty much on-brand for someone like Sabine. Besides, I can imagine Sabine getting into a tiff with Cara Dune, which was already teased last month by Banks and Gina Carano.

For now, we'll just have to wait and see. Hopefully, we get a new trailer mid-October giving us a look at more things. Catch The Mandalorian Season 2 when it debuts on Disney+ this coming Oct. 30.
