Hawkeye Series Allegedly Bringing Back Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova from Black Widow

If it weren't for COVID-19, we would have already met Florence Pugh's Yelena Belova in Black Widow; but seeing that the movie won't come out until next year, we'll just have to wait and see what happens. What's interesting is, we could already know when we're going to meet Yelena again.

According to The Direct, Florence Pugh will be reprising her part as Yelena in the Hawkeye series on Disney+. We don't know the full extent of her role yet, but it's said that she will be donning something similar to Clint Barton's Ronin look from Avengers: Endgame.

Seeing that the OG Black Widow Natasha Romanoff has such close ties to Barton in the franchise, it would make sense that her suspected successor would be connected to Hawkeye as well. We don't know how Yelena could enter the picture, but it's possible that Natasha refers her to Barton should things have happened to Natasha (which they did).

In the meantime, we wait for the release of Black Widow next year. With DC eventually caving in on the release of Wonder Woman 1984 on HBO Max, a lot of fans are still curious if Marvel will ever change their stance when it comes to blockbusters coming straight to streaming.

At birth, the Black Widow (aka Natasha Romanova) is given to the KGB, which grooms her to become its ultimate operative. When the U.S.S.R. breaks up, the government tries to kill her as the action moves to present-day New York, where she is a freelance operative.

Black Widow is now set to come out on May 7, 2021.
