HBO Max Allegedly Giving Ben Affleck the Choice to Keep Playing Batman

Though Robert Pattinson may be WB's main cinematic Batman, Ben Affleck is going to be suiting up as the Caped Crusader for the Flash solo movie and Zack Snyder's Justice League. What's interesting is, it's very possible that we could be seeing more of Batfleck—that is, if Affleck is up for it.

According to The GWW's @BlackMajikMan90 on Twitter, HBO Max is interested in pursuing a project with Ben Affleck's Batman. Here's the post:

We should just take this as a rumor for now, but this post was retweeted by insider Daniel Richtman so it's very likely that there is some truth to it.

We don't know what Batman project Affleck could work on, but I would very much love to see his original plan for the solo Batman film. It was said that he had an idea to shoot it like The Raid and have Batman fighting off baddies while he was locked inside Arkham Asylum. While a series would probably be an option, I would prefer that they just make this one contained movie and have it released on HBO Max.

Admittedly, Affleck had been in a bad state when he left the DCEU, what with his struggle with alcoholism and alleged fights with producer Geoff Johns. Now that Johns is being called out by Ray Fisher and Affleck seems to be healthy and happy, fans are hoping he gives us more of his Batman; then again, only if Affleck is eager to return.

For now, catch Batfleck in Zack Snyder's Justice League which comes out on HBO Max sometime in 2021.
