Ex-LucasArts Employee Says Star Wars 1313 was the Mandalorian Game We Never Got

God of War director Cory Barlog got everyone interested in the idea of a Mandalorian game, and everyone is hoping that it got EA's attention. While EA didn't have anything to say about that, a former employee at LucasArts had revealed that they tried to make what Barlog was proposing, but it was canceled after the Disney acquisition.

This was Celia Hodent's reply to Barlog's tweet:

Just in case you didn't know, Star Wars 1313 was said to be a game centered on Boba Fett, and you would get to play as him as he traversed the Star Wars underground collecting bounties and doing mercenary work—all while upgrading his armor.

The project was canceled when Disney bought Lucasfilm and closed LucasArts, and fans have been bummed out about it since. The hype around 1313 was so huge that it was even speculated that some of the influence on Din Djarin's costume from The Mandalorian was drawn from 1313 concept art.

With the renewed interest in a Mandalorian game, some are hoping that they could get some of the material from 1313 and rework it for the game. Sadly, Hodent says, "It was very painful for the team... It won't get revived.. it was canned too many years ago now (2013)."

While EA hasn't announced any other Star Wars games besides The LEGO Star Wars reboot and the Fallen Order sequel. Fans continue to have hope. For now, you can just catch The Mandalorian series on Disney+.
