According to Deadline, Marvel Studios has tapped Bob's Burgers vets Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin to write the third Deadpool movie. Ryan Reynolds is set to reprise the role of Wade Wilson, and it's also said that the movie will keep its R-rating.

While a lot of people are curious as to what happened to previous writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, it was said that there have been talks with Reynolds about the next film's direction, and the Molyneux sisters were the ones who had the best pitch.

As for the director, it doesn't seem like David Leitch would be coming back to the helm. Personally, I would love it if Rick and Morty co-creator Dan Harmon would take a crack at it. He already has experience with the MCU when he wrote for Doctor Strange, and his grasp at meta-humor is perfect for a character like Deadpool.

There has been no release date set for Deadpool 3, but we should expect the movie to be part of Marvel's Phase 5 slate. If anything, it's possible it could be ready to come out by 2022, but with Marvel's plate pretty full caused by the pandemic, we could get a probable release sometime in 2023.

In the meantime, WandaVision launches on Disney+ this coming January 15, 2021.
