Dark Phoenix Clip Has Mystique Telling Charles to Change the Group’s Name to ‘X-Women’

June is finally here, which means that later this month, we'll get to see the final chapter in Fox's main X-Men saga with Dark Phoenix. Fox has just released a new clip from the movie, and it has Mystique and Charles arguing after the space mission.

Check it out:

While I think the scene is supposed to establish that Charles has gotten proud of his achievements with the X-Men, it's kind of weird how he's clashing with Mystique. I mean, Mystique has her own points, but why is she accusing Charles of not risking something? He's in a wheelchairfor goodness sake.

This is also just me, but I think the "X-Women" line is a bit too on the nose. I mean, I'm always up for more strong women in these movies, but the line was just in poor taste. We get it, Mystique; men suck.

If anything, people who stick close to the news are expecting this movie to bomb. Early reviews haven't been great, and nothing in the previews has really made the movie feel at all that intriguing. Hopefully we're all wrong by the time the film comes out. I mean, nobody wants these movies to be terrible.

Gathered together by Professor Charles Xavier to protect a world that fears and hates them, the X-Men had fought many battles, been on adventures that spanned galaxies, grappled enemies of limitless might, but none of this could prepare them for the most shocking struggle they would ever face. One of their own members, Jean Grey, has gained power beyond all comprehension, and that power has corrupted her absolutely! Now, they must decide if the life of the woman they cherish is worth the existence of the entire universe!

Catch X-Men: Dark Phoenix in theaters June 7.
