Bong Joon Ho’s Parasite to Stream Exclusively on Hulu

After its Oscar win, a lot of people have been clamoring to check out Bong Joon Ho's Parasite. The movie is recently enjoying a rerelease in theaters, but for those waiting to catch it on TV, you better get in on Hulu in April.

According to Variety, Hulu had earned the exclusive streaming rights of Parasite via a deal with indie studio Neon. The movie starts streaming on the platform on April 8, but we don't know how long that deal is going to run for. You'd think that Bong would rather have a deal with Netflix, seeing as he did team-up with the streaming service for his previous film, Okja.

As of now, everyone is celebrating the achievement of Parasite for being the first non-English film to earn an Oscar for Best Picture. Director Bong is probably sitting on a high right now, seeing that the Oscars had also brought him wins for Best Original Screenplay, Best Director, and Best International Feature Film.

Personally, I thought the film was great, and I especially love how it manages to shift genres midway. Hopefully, Bong finds a way to top himself with his next project.

Jobless, penniless, and, above all, hopeless, the unmotivated patriarch, Ki-taek, and his equally unambitious family--his supportive wife, Chung-sook; his cynical twenty-something daughter, Ki-jung, and his college-age son, Ki-woo--occupy themselves by working for peanuts in their squalid basement-level apartment. Then, by sheer luck, a lucrative business proposition will pave the way for an ingeniously insidious scheme, as Ki-woo summons up the courage to pose as an English tutor for the teenage daughter of the affluent Park family. Now, the stage seems set for an unceasing winner-take-all class war. How does one get rid of a parasite?

Parasite comes to Hulu on April 8.
