Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Loses Director After Infidelity Accusations

A lot of people were excited when Ubisoft had announced the coming of Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, but the game has undergone a major shake-up with creative director Ashraf Ismail stepping down from the project.

This was apparently due to some accusations of infidelity that have come out online. Imail posts:

He also followed it up with: There are hundreds of talented, passionate people striving to build an experience for you that do not deserve to be associated with this. I wish them all the best.

Here's one of the accusations to come out against Ismail:

It's worth noting that Ismail has been behind the franchise hits like Assassin's Creed: Black Flag and Assassin's Creed: Origins. He was also the director behind Discovery Tour by Assassin's Creed: Egypt. We don't know how Valhalla plans to move forward without him as Ubisoft is yet to release any official statement about Ismail stepping down from his role.

If anything, there are fans standing up for Ismail, saying that infidelity shouldn't really result to the guy losing his job. Personally, I'm just waiting for more information to come out before I can make any rational take on the issue.

England in the age of the Vikings is a fractured nation of petty lords and warring kingdoms. Beneath the chaos lies a rich and untamed land waiting for a new conqueror. Will it be you?

Though we should expect a delay, Assassin's Creed: Valhalla is still set for a release later this year.
