Arkham Origins Devs Tease an Upcoming Batman Game with Eerie Symbols

Though considered the black sheep of the Arkham games, Arkham Origins has slowly been getting appreciation from the community, and developers WB Montreal are teasing what could be a sequel.

They had released this teaser of the Bat-signal earlier this week:

Then we have a clearer look at the symbols just now:

Nobody knows what kind of game they have on their hands, but some suspect it will have something to do with Ra's Al Ghul (a.k.a. The Demon's Head) and the Court of Owls. Though Ra's has been a villain in Arkham City, the Court of Owls has been an adversary that has yet to take the spotlight in an Arkham game; so it would make sense for WB Montreal to finally take them on.

Though Rocksteady's Arkham Knight had marked an end of the franchise, a lot of people still think the story kind of fell flat when compared with Arkham City. The gameplay for the Batmobile was fantastic, but when it came toward the end, the missions had become annoyingly repetitive and tedious. WB Montreal may not be Rocksteady, but they have the poor reception of Knight to build on to breathe some new innovation when it comes to the Arkham series.

No release date has been announced for WB Montreal's next game, but a lot of Batman fans are eagerly waiting for the official announcement—which could come any time within the week.
