A Quiet Place Part II Also Delayed Due to Coronavirus

John Krasinski's A Quiet Place was a hit when it came out back in 2018, and the sequel was set to come out later this month. Amid the Coronavirus panic though, it looks like we'll have to wait a bit longer before we get to follow the story of the Abbott family.

John Krasinski has posted up this announcement on IG that the movie's release is going to be delayed. Check it out:

Paramount has also released this statement on the cancellation (via Entertainment Tonight):

"After much consideration, and in light of the ongoing and developing situation concerning coronavirus and restrictions on global travel and public gatherings, Paramount Pictures will be moving the worldwide release of A Quiet Place Part II… We believe in and support the theatrical experience, and we look forward to bringing this film to audiences this year once we have a better understanding of the impact of this pandemic on the global theatrical marketplace."

As of now, we don't have a new release date for the film, but depending on how the Coronavirus is spreading, we may be looking at a release later in the year. With No Time to Die being delayed by seven months, maybe A Quiet Place Part II can find a time to hit theaters in October. Surely, the film that probably got the worst delay is Fast & Furious 9, which was pushed back for almost an entire year with a release date set for April 2021.

If it's any consolation, A Quiet Place Part II is getting some great reviews, so we don't have that much to worry about when it comes to anticipation. Maybe Krasinski can even use the time to polish up things that didn't have time to get polished initially.

No new release date has been set for A Quiet Place Part II.
