Avengers: Infinity War Writers Tease Guardians of The Galaxy Inclusion

Avengers: Infinity War will focus on the conflict against Thanos, a supervillain we've seen in both the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy films, and this time it looks like characters from both worlds of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be forced to unite to take him down. The inclusion of Star-Lord and Rocket Raccoon to the two-part films has been teased over the past few months, and now screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely offered a little tease during a live interview with Nerdist on Facebook. And when asked if the Guardians will crossover with Infinity War, here's what they said:

"Let's put it this way: you know who owns that [Infinity] Gauntlet, right? And you know who's in another movie, and his kids are in that movie… you do the math!"

Thanos is a reason huge enough to connect both worlds. It would be a blast to see the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy unite, and James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will probably hint that connection in the film (most likely in the post-credits scene).

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will be released in theaters on May 5, 2017. The first Avengers: Infinity War film is set to release on May 4, 2018.
