Aquatope of White Sand is the story of Kukuru Misakino, who works as the director of her grandparents' aquarium during the holidays; and Fuuka Miyazawa, who ends up working in the aquarium after failing as an idol.

Karin manages to get approval for several Gama Gama Aquarium animals to be transported to a hospital to give children joy. Complicating matters is the fact that the head nurse has a pathological fear for crabs!

When a crab accidentally gets transported along with other animals and escapes Fuuka's care, hilarity ensues, as she has to chase it all around the hospital.

While the visit goes well, the aquarium's imminent closure still looms over Kukuru, who can't take it any longer and snaps at Karin. In her turn, Karin admits that she had always wanted to become an aquarium attendant, like Kukuru, but was pressured by her mother to become a civil servant instead. Since then, she finds it much easier to compromise, so she admires Kukuru's defiance and will to fight.

While the crab finds its way to the head nurse, she decides not to report the incident, as she understands that the traveling aquarium gave the ill children an unforgettable experience.

Aquatope of White Sand Episode 9, oddly called "Assassin of Cinderella" is scheduled to air on Friday, the 3rd of September for premium Crunchyroll users. Due to time zone differences, many international fans will be able to stream it from the 2nd of September depending on where they are in the world.

A dub has not yet been announced but this could change at any point - the show deserves it.
