We’re nearing the release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and with that comes a bevy of official and unofficial teasers, especially this month.
Early February, we saw the movie’s advertisement at the Super Bowl, a final trailer that’s totally awesome, and an unofficial teaser into the roles of the Justice League characters appearing in the film. Last week, we also saw the release of companion guide books revealing a load of photos from the movie, while this week came the announcement of Batman v Superman’s official runtime, as well as more behind-the-scenes photos and Batmobile footage.
Now, Warner Bros. Pictures and DC’s marketing team have released the official movie posters of characters Lois Lane (Amy Adams), supervillain Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg), and Alfred (Jeremy Irons). Dawn of Justice’s tough texture is apparent in the new photos, with each character set against a smoky backdrop depicting the aftermath of the battle between Batman/Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) and Superman/Clark Kent (Henry Cavill).
Take a look at the posters below:
The new posters show what we already know of the characters. A resolute Lois with the Daily Planet logo, Alfred looking in control with the Wayne Industries insignia, and Lex Luthor against the Lexcorp logo looking like he’s up to something.
While Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will center on Batman and Superman, its success would also rely on the supporting cast. Early on in the making of the film, Director Zack Snyder revealed that Irons’ Alfred and Eisenberg’s Lex will be different from previous Superman films. Alfred will be more hands on in the security department, while Lex will be younger and more charismatic. As for Lois Lane, Adams has revealed that the reporter will be doing a lot of “sleuthing” in the film.
More than the two big superheroes climactic battle, I’m excited to see how a young Lex Luthor, an older Batman, and a Superman/Lois Lane love team will bring to the film.
Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice opens is in theaters on March 25.
