Jaimie Alexander on Her Return to Thor: Ragnarok as Sif

Jaimie Alexander played Lady Sif in 2011's Thor and 2013's Thor: The Dark World, but while there is an upcoming Thor: Ragnarok in 2017, it remains unknown whether the actress will be reprising her role as Sif.

Many fans have been asking this question, and in the 32-year-old actress' latest live Facebook Q&A for her current TV series, Blindspot, Alexander is finally addressing the question.

She answered the question about seven minutes into the Q&A:

Am I inThor 3? I get asked that every time I do this!
I actually don't know. I have no idea. I'm guessing no? But I'm not sure, because nobody's told me. I have no clue.

Apparently, it looks like Alexander hasn't been contacted by Marvel to join Thor: Ragnarok...yet. I say yet because the movie's IMDb page lists her as one of the returning cast.

Alexander has played the Asgardian warrior not only in ThorandThor: The Dark World, but also in ABC's Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Her portrayal of the character has been received well by both critics and fans. It will be surprising if she isn't included in Ragnarok.

The movie is currently in pre-production, which began in January. If Marvel does decide to make that call, it will be the perfect timing since Alexander is about to take time off from Blindspot for the summer.

I guess we won't find out until Marvel makes an official announcement. There's a lot of time for her to be cast anyway. Thor: Ragnarok won't be released until November 3, 2017.
