Recently, a lawsuit was filed against Activision Blizzard for allegedly incubating a "frat boy" culture after a two-year investigation led by the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing. The developer and publisher of World of Warcraft and many other popular games have been accused of gender-based discrimination and sexual harassment and after the company issued a response of denial saying it "includes distorted, and in many cases false, descriptions of Blizzard's past," it did not sit well with the employees.

In a report from Bloomberg, a letter circulated among the employees of Activision Blizzard following the statements of their company as regards the lawsuit wherein the staff called the response of the company "abhorrent and insulting." The letter had strong clap backs as they call for "a safe place to speak out and come forward."

Employees of the company, previous and current, came out to social media to support the claims on the allegations in the lawsuit and some even shared their personal experience of being discriminated. The male employees were allegedly engaging with their female colleagues inappropriately while at work or during events.

Former Blizzard CEO and co-founder Mike Morhaime published his own statement saying, "to the Blizzard women who experienced any of these things, I am extremely sorry that I failed you."
