It's no secret that Lou Ferrigno has been overly critical of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and its version of the Incredible Hulk. According to the Marvel icon, he's not the biggest fan of Marvel Studios relying too much on CGI when all he needed several decades back was practical effects and green paint. Just recently, Ferrigno took to Twitter to once again throw shade at superhero actors who conveniently make use of digital visual effects as opposed to training hard to achieve a superhero-esque physique.

Now, the 69-year-old actor is airing his thoughts on the upcoming She-Hulk series led by Tatiana Maslany. In an interview with TooFab, Ferrigno gave Maslany his seal of approval and thinks the actress becoming the female counterpart of the green giant is a good idea. However, he did say that the studio shouldn't go the CGI route and should present She-Hulk in a more "organic" way.

Lou said: "I think it's a good idea, but I think we have to get retrained from seeing too much special effects because the more authentic, organic the character can be, the more believable. So we have to see what happens because it may work for 'Star Wars' -- it may work for different films, but you know, when you have too much CGI, it gets confusing."

In the said interview, Lou also expressed his admiration for Edward Norton's portrayal of Bruce Banner, claiming that out of all the actors to play the character, he was the one who closely resembled Bill Bixby's performance in the 1970s series.

I mean, I don't want to take anything away from the actor but times have obviously changed. If the CGI technology was already possible during his time, I'm pretty sure studios would've capitalized on it to make Hulk look more accurate to his comic book counterpart. Still, Ferrigno's take on the character will remain beloved by many.

She-Hulk's official release date has yet to be announced.
