If you think Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is already crazier than previous phases, we've barely scratched the surface. With the entire Multiverse deal coming into play, the franchise is about to dive into new territory that could very well blow everyone's minds away. So far, shows like WandaVision and Loki have teased what lies ahead and things will only get more bollocks in the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

This week, rumors floated around social media suggesting that the filming starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen will feature familiar faces not only from the MCU but from past Marvel film properties as well. We reported that Scarlet Witch is set to be the film's main villain and she'll be facing off with multiple heroes from across alternate realities, including a popular X-Men character.

Tipster @ViewerAnon supports the rumors first reported by fellow insiders Daniel Richtman and Grace Randolph and according to him, Marvel Studios actually considered Hugh Jackman's Wolverine to appear in the film to "get his ass decimated" by the Scarlet Witch. However, despite the fact that Jackman has been hinting at his Logan return on social media, his supposed cameo didn't happen.

Jackman previously addressed the rumors surrounding his return and even apologized to fans for giving them false hopes. This was during the time he posted a fan-made artwork of Wolverine which was later followed by an image of him and Kevin Feige, seemingly hinting that the rumors are true.

I hope the casual fans of the MCU are ready for what's about to unfold. If the cameo rumors are in fact true, I'm pretty sure it will leave a number of fans scratching their heads so I suggest to do some catching up this early and binge-watch the non-MCU films so you'll have a better idea of the things that could possibly go down in the film.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will hit cinemas in March 2022.
