During the first episode of Boruto, fans have seen an older version of Kawaki, and it is obviously clear that he is not one of the good guys. How did it all come up to that point? We don’t know it yet but as where the anime is right now, Kawaki is with the Uzumaki family after Naruto decided to take him in.

He became close with the members of the family, especially Naruto. From a distant and cold teenager, Kawaki is slowly opening up to people. Those are not the only changes that happened to Kawaki as it seemed that he developed new abilities too. These new skills might even surpass the Seventh Hokage himself!

What Are Kawaki’s New Abilities That Can Surpass Naruto’s Skills?

For those who joined Naruto on his journey, we are all aware that one of his perfected abilities is the shadow clones. Even without Kurama by his side, he has mastered this skill far better than the other shinobi. The same ability was used to defeat Kaguya but with a twist: he created sexy males to distract Kaguya so they can beat her. Very Naruto, right?

Boruto seemed to master the skill as well, which is not surprising. Naruto then decided to teach Kawaki the technique and although Kawaki isn’t a genius like Boruto, he can adapt quickly to his surroundings. In one instance, he decided to upgrade the popular move by manipulating his energy aside from his appearance so that when he leaves the Leaf Village, no one will be alarmed.

It was a successful trick until Boruto noticed it because the clone does not have a Karma seal like the real Kawaki. But if Boruto didn’t notice it, no one would know that the real Kawaki is no longer around. With Kawaki’s upgrade on the shadow clone technique, he can become untraceable. He can create as many shadow clones as he like who have the same energy as him, and no one would notice.

Fans believe that if Kawaki can improve a signature move like this, he can easily do the same with other well-known abilities. He can end up being a powerful shinobi.
