Like most anime, Tokyo Ghoul was based on manga. It is a dark fantasy manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump that can be collected in 14 tankobon volumes. The story was set in a world where ghouls exist. These creatures look like normal people but the difference is that they can only eat human flesh. What they do is hide in society so they can try to survive and hide from authorities.
Kaneki Ken was once a normal human but his life changed when he went on a date with a ghoul. Her objective was to devour him but an accident took place. They were taken to the hospital but the ghoul was already dead so the doctor decided to use her organs to save Kaneki’s life. Since then, Kaneki became a half-human, half-ghoul.
Major Plot Twists in Tokyo Ghoul Manga Explained
From the premise alone, manga readers can expect that they are more twists to come in the story. Kaneki’s life will never be the same after the incident and upon entering another world, he discovered a lot of things about ghouls and humans. We decided to gather the three major plot twists fans did not expect in the manga.
The first one is Dr. Kano’s experiments. For those who cannot remember him, Dr. Kano was the doctor who decided to use Rize’s organs to save Kaneki. But the truth is that he is running a lab wherein he creates artificial ghouls using Rize’s organs. He used her to experiment with ghoul’s biology and find a way to eliminate these creatures.
The second twist is when Kaneki lost his memories as a ghoul. CCG attacked Anteiku in the hopes to defeat the one-eyed owl. All ghoul hunters were present there. Kaneki and Arima had an intense duel wherein Arima won the fight thanks to his advanced quinque. This fight led to Kaneki losing his memories of being a ghoul. He was then taken in by Akira Mado and he became her subordinate and ghoul investigator.
The third twist is that Kishou Arima is the one-eyed king. Kishou was known to be a special class ghoul investigator but what they do not know is that he is the strong ghoul that CCG is after. The title was then passed on to Kaneki after the latter defeated him.

Izumi Miyamura is one of the protagonists of the hit anime Horimiya. The story follows him and Hori as their stories become connected after one incident with Hori’s brother. At the start of the series, he gave people the impression that he is anti-social and gloomy. Some even thought that he was an otaku.
He rarely speaks to anyone after what happened to him in junior high. After being bullied and ostracized when he was young, he became pessimistic and when things get rough, he would give himself piercings by using a safety pin. Aside from his piercings, fans noticed that Miyamura also has tattoos. How many does he have and what are they?
How Many Tattoos Does Miyamura Have and What Are They?
Miyamura in school and outside school are like two different people. At school, he would cover his face with his hair to hide his piercings. But that is not the only secret he has: he also has tattoos which he covers by not participating during their PE class.
He has two tattoos: the first is on one side of his torso and the other is on his arm. The design looks like a tribal band but it was not specified why he chose that design in the first place. There is also no back story when and why he did it in the first place unlike the story behind his ear piercings.
There are fan theories that try to explain why he did it in the first place. Some say that it was to create another persona so he can escape his situation in middle school while others say that it was the only option Miyamura could think of to hide his pain.
Regardless of his real reason, the series showed that he did everything he can to hide it and eventually regrets what he did. His character broke all stereotypes people have about male protagonists. He was unique and showed that having long hair or piercings does not necessarily mean that one is gay. Also, Miyamura’s character development is really something to look forward to.

Hunter x Hunter introduced anime fans to a world where elite members of humanity called Hunters track down individuals, rare beasts, and treasures. They have the access to various locations that normal citizens cannot go to. Hunters can control their Nen as well to improve their abilities and win against enemies.
The story follows Gon who is in search of his father who happened to be a well-known hunter. In his journey, he came across various hunters with amazing abilities. He encountered average hunters and very powerful ones that almost killed him. But throughout the series, who is the strongest character in Hunter x Hunter?
Who is the Strongest Character in Hunter x Hunter?
As mentioned, there are a lot of strong characters introduced in the story like Meruem, Netero, and Pitou, among others. All of these characters have unique abilities that make them strong. But if we will compare the strengths and weaknesses of these characters, it is without a doubt that adult Gon is the strongest character in Hunter x Hunter.
During the Chimera Ant Arc, Gon knew that he is no match against his enemies. He then decided that he needed to sacrifice his potential to achieve an older version of him after training for years and decades. This version of Gon already reached his peak physical and nen abilities, making him the strongest character ever introduced in the series. The transformation also showed that Gon now has more aura reserves and outputs, which makes him undefeatable.
Anime fans only saw a glimpse of this transformation, and it has shown that this version of Gon can defeat Pitou instantly. She even believed that Gon can defeat Mereum in this state. By the time Gon reaches this age in real-time, Netero might be older and somehow weaker which will certainly make this future Gon stronger than any character in the series.
While there are more questions left unanswered regarding this version of Gon, fans will have to wait and see what his abilities will be when he reaches this age and time. It has been a while since the manga and anime were updated so it will take a while before fans know the answer.

Popularly known as Captain Levi, Levi Ackerman is the squad leader of the Special Operations Squad in Attack on Titan. The said squad is under Survey Corps, and he is considered the strongest soldier. Just by looking at him, he already gives the vibes of a strong character: undercut curtain-styled hair, intimidating dull eyes, and muscular body despite the short height.
He rarely smiles and would be seen either frowning or emotionless. He is extremely calm even during intense situations so people cannot really guess what he is thinking. All of the characters look up to him because of his expert skills and professionalism. Is this the reason he is considered the most powerful non-Titan character?
What Makes Levi Ackerman the Most Powerful Non-Titan Character in Attack on Titan?
Attack on Titan introduced a lot of powerful characters but most of them are Titans, which explain the added skills and abilities. But Levi, despite being human, is considered the most powerful. The anime and manga showed that even if he is not the main character, he has this ability to save the day with his fighting skills (most of the fans even prefer him than Eren).
Some believe that his abilities have something to do with the Ackerman bloodline. As avid AOT fans know, the Ackerman clan were born as experiments to create a family of warriors whose main objective is to protect Eldia’s king. This means that they were intentionally made to be stronger than most people and have this instinct that they will protect the King no matter what.
The Ackermans have an “awakened power” which helps them to know what they need to do. This was developed to improve their protective abilities. This means that in any situation, Levi will know the right thing to do aside from his expert analytical skills and intelligence. The ability was proven to be strong a lot of times whenever he encountered a Titan (and he always wins).
While a lot of fans think that Eren Yeager might be the most powerful character, they have to check Levi Ackerman first. The captain’s enhanced physical abilities, heightened intelligence, awakened power, and analytical personality have time and time again proven that he can beat Eren if he wanted to. He already did it with other Titans so what difference does it make if he is against Eren?
Curious how old is Eren? We have the answer here.

One Piece is a Japanese manga by Eiichiro Oda. It was serialized in 1997 in Weekly Shonen Jump and has 100 tankobon volumes by September 2021. The series is still ongoing as of this writing. It follows the journey of Monkey D. Luffy who is looking for the ultimate treasure to become the King of Pirates.
The manga got a title from the Guinness World Record for earning “the most copies published for the same comic book series by a single author.” It also won several awards including the best-selling manga from 2008 to 2018. With these achievements, a lot of anime fans are interested to read manga or watch the series. The only question now is how long will it take one person to finish the anime and manga?
How Long Will It Take You to Finish the Entire One Piece Manga and Anime Series?
Let us first focus on the anime. The first episode aired in 1999 and now has around 990 episodes. Take note that the series is still ongoing and the number of episodes will surely increase over time. Each episode is around 22 to 24 minutes long. If we multiply that to 990 episodes, that is 23,760 minutes which is equivalent to 396 hours or 16.5 days.
Take note that in that 16.5 days, there are no breaks like eating, sleeping, or going to the washroom. It would be continuous viewing. With this in mind, the 16 days would be extended and maybe could end up to one or two months depending on the hours spent on watching.
Meanwhile, for the manga, it will depend on the reading speed of a person. There are people who read fast and those who would like to savor each moment. Let’s say the person reads 5 minutes per chapter this could mean that the reader can finish 4 volumes per day.
There is also a chance that the big arcs can be finished in a week while medium arcs can be done in days at that pace. With that, there is a chance that the manga can be finished in a month. As mentioned, it will still depend on the pace of the reader.
While it is good to finish the manga and series as soon as possible to catch up on the story, it is also advisable to read and watch at their own pace. One Piece won’t be gone so there’s a lot of time for people to enjoy it.

Weathering with You and Your Name are two of the must-watch anime that even non-anime fans should consider watching. Weathering with You was released in 2019 that follows a boy who ran away from his rural home and met an orphan girl who can control the weather. The said film won several awards and nominations.
Meanwhile, Your Name is a 2016 fantasy film that focuses on two high school students who swapped bodies. It also won awards and even got a live-action remake in the United States. What is interesting about the two films is that they were made by the same director and writer, Makoto Shinkai. Surprisingly, that is not just the connection between the two.
Is Weathering with You and Your Name Connected?
The first connection that fans noticed is that in Weathering with You, Hina and Hodoka started a business wherein Hina would wipe away the clouds for those who are in need in exchange for some money. One of her clients is an old lady who was revealed to be the grandmother of Taki from Your Name. This simple encounter gave fans an idea that the two stories happened in the same world.
The cameo does not stop there as Mitsuha from Your Name also appeared on Weathering with You as someone who is working in one of the shops. Her friends Sayaka and Tessie also made a brief appearance. While these would give fans an impression that there is a huge chance that the two stories took place at the same time, the weather shown in both films made it impossible.
Mitsuha and Taki met on a cloudless sunny day while Weathering with You experienced never-ending rain. In addition, Taki and Mitsuha reunited in 2022 while Weathering with You happened in 2021. A theory regarding this is that even if the characters appear somehow in the film, it might be a parallel universe.
Fans also noticed that the two films have the same general plot with supernatural elements. Both female characters have abilities that connect them to the male protagonist. Of course, the male lead would do everything he can in his power to save her. The message of both films is also somewhat connected. With this, it can be assumed that Weathering with You and Your Name are connected but with a slight difference. It would still be a waste not to watch these two award-winning films.

Those who have seen the official poster for Demon Slayer season 2 might have noticed that a specific hashira was featured. It was no other than the Sound Hashira: Tengen Uzui. For those who couldn’t remember him, Tengen is the muscular hashira who is very tall. He has light-tanned skin with white hair.
He is an eccentric character who connects every action to flamboyancy. He used to think how flamboyant it would be if Tanjiro’s blood vessels exploded. Despite his weird personality, Tengen has a nice side that he shows to his three wives and eventually to Tanjiro after their mission was over. But we won’t spoil how that happened.
What Can Fans Expect from the Sound Hashira in Demon Slayer Season 2?
In season one, fans only got a glimpse of Tengen so there might be some questions about him that fans would want to know. Like the other hashiras, Tengen is a powerful swordsman. He is a sound-breathing demon slayer who focuses on the audio more than the visuals, like what fans are used to see.
With Tengen’s unique personality, there is a chance that his moments with Tanjiro and the others will complement well considering that Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu are not plain and boring characters. There might be a chance that their relationship will not be like what the trio experienced with Rengoku.
There is also the fact that he was one of the opposed demon slayers after they found out the truth about Tanjiro and Nezuko. He might have a different reaction once he worked with the siblings so it would be interesting to see how he will change his mind about Nezuko, if he will have a change of heart that is.
As mentioned, Tengen isn’t the typical hashira. He doesn’t have the same qualities as the others have which can guarantee fans that the upcoming season will have a different view on the story as well. There is also the fact that a new mission means a new enemy so fans would be surely intrigued with that. For now, Demon Slayer fans will have to wait and see what will happen in season 2 of the series.

During the first episode of Boruto, fans have seen an older version of Kawaki, and it is obviously clear that he is not one of the good guys. How did it all come up to that point? We don’t know it yet but as where the anime is right now, Kawaki is with the Uzumaki family after Naruto decided to take him in.
He became close with the members of the family, especially Naruto. From a distant and cold teenager, Kawaki is slowly opening up to people. Those are not the only changes that happened to Kawaki as it seemed that he developed new abilities too. These new skills might even surpass the Seventh Hokage himself!
What Are Kawaki’s New Abilities That Can Surpass Naruto’s Skills?
For those who joined Naruto on his journey, we are all aware that one of his perfected abilities is the shadow clones. Even without Kurama by his side, he has mastered this skill far better than the other shinobi. The same ability was used to defeat Kaguya but with a twist: he created sexy males to distract Kaguya so they can beat her. Very Naruto, right?
Boruto seemed to master the skill as well, which is not surprising. Naruto then decided to teach Kawaki the technique and although Kawaki isn’t a genius like Boruto, he can adapt quickly to his surroundings. In one instance, he decided to upgrade the popular move by manipulating his energy aside from his appearance so that when he leaves the Leaf Village, no one will be alarmed.
It was a successful trick until Boruto noticed it because the clone does not have a Karma seal like the real Kawaki. But if Boruto didn’t notice it, no one would know that the real Kawaki is no longer around. With Kawaki’s upgrade on the shadow clone technique, he can become untraceable. He can create as many shadow clones as he like who have the same energy as him, and no one would notice.
Fans believe that if Kawaki can improve a signature move like this, he can easily do the same with other well-known abilities. He can end up being a powerful shinobi.
