Zombie Land Saga: Revenge is releasing on April 8th, and fans have been anxious to see the next season ever since the first season ended in late 2018! While it's been over two years since we've last seen the girls of Franchouchou, the fans' desire to see more of these undead idols hasn't diminished in the slightest.
In the first season of this hit original comedy from studio MAPPA (Yuri on Ice, Kids on the Slope), an aspiring idol and high school girl named Sakura Minamoto is killed in the year 2008 by a truck. Revived ten years later by a man named Kotaro Tatsumi along with six other "legendary" girls from various eras to form a zombie idol group in order to revitalize the Saga prefecture region.

Originally announced at Anime Expo in 2018 by Cygames, Zombie Land Saga is an original series with the creation credited to Kōhōkōchōka Zombie-gakari. Munehisa Sakai directed the first season working off scripts written by Shigeru Murakoshi. Yasuharu Takanashi and Funta7 are credited with creating the music.

+ 3The new season will air on Japanese television networks AT-X, Tokyo MX, Sun TV, TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting Co., Ltd. Saga TV, and BS11 television channels on April 8th.

It seems that the girls of Franchouchou might be split up with Kotaro saying that it couldn't last forever. Does this mean that the girls will all be going their separate ways? There have been no announcements that either website doesn't have plans to pick up the second season, and Funimation has gone so far as to already announce the serieswill be dubbed on their official blog.
