Zack Snyder Shares Image Of Henry Cavill In Classic Christopher Reeve Superman Costume

Back when Man of Steel came out, Zack Snyder had teased that they had Henry Cavill wear the classic Superman suit from the Christopher Reeve era for a test. We haven't seen any images of Cavill wearing them before, but Snyder had just decided to share the image of Cavill in the suit.

The image was posted on Snyder's Vero account (via Reddit), and it gives us a glimpse of Cavill before he went on his full transformation as the Man of Steel.

As you can see in the image, he hasn't bulked up significantly at all, but there's no denying that early on, he already had the look of Superman down pat. Five of six years ago, Snyder had said this about Cavill's audition:

"We didn't have the suit made when Henry was auditioning, so he wore the original Christopher Reeve suit. He put it on and when he came out of the trailer, everyone was like, ‘Dang, you're Superman!"

Though Cavill has been receiving some flak for fanboys for his somber version of Superman, I think he was perfectly cast in the role. The only problem with the character is that Zack Snyder seems to be having problems with how to handle him properly. I mean, why kill him off in the second movie that we see him in? There was no time to invest on Superman enough to care when he died.

Hopefully people will finally love Superman when he returns in Justice League this Nov. 17.
