Zack Snyder Has NOT Seen Justice League

Justice League has just hit theaters this weekend, and a lot of people are happy that the DCEU is moving on to a lighter tone. Though Joss Whedon may have finished the film, Zack Snyder still has the sole director credit, and as it turns out, he hasn't seen the movie at all.

A Vero user had uploaded this screenshot of a conversation with Snyder:

OTHER: Zack hasn't seen JL yet and wishes he could've completed his trilogy.

Snyder had to leave the project after the suicide of his daughter Autumn earlier this year, and Warner Bros had Joss Whedon take over for reshoots and pre-production. Though Whedon was said to have followed Snyder's tone and vision for the film, you have to admit the movie does feel a bit more Whedon-esque compared to Batman v Superman or Man of Steel.

As for Snyder not having seen the film, I have a feeling that he shares the sentiments of Edgar Wright to Marvel's Ant-Man movie. Wright, who famously left Ant-Man despite years of work, says he hasn't seen Peyton Reed's finished film because it would feel like "watching an ex-girlfriend have sex." Justice League was Snyder's baby, and though he's credited as the director, I'm sure the final product is not the one he wanted to have.

Will we see an alternate Snyder-cut of Justice League? We don't know. Hopefully Warner Bros would be happy enough to oblige fans with it if they clamored hard enough. Personally, I agree that BvS and Man of Steel aren't perfect, but I would have wanted to see Snyder's intended take on Justice League.

Catch Justice League in theaters now.
